Contrary to the GOP misinformation narrative, more than 100 studies over the last 30 years show that the drug mifepristone, used to perform medication abortions and miscarriages, is safe. More than 99% of patients taking the pill had no serious complications.
This compares to a rising maternal death rate in the U.S. each year, and an even higher rate for Black women.
