Fact!
Republicans are anti-immigration. Contrary to the GOP talking point that immigrants are stealing jobs from Americans, a robust immigration policy is good for the economy and benefits everyone:
- With strong immigration levels, GDP per capita is projected to be $16,000 higher by 2040 than with low levels
- Migrants tend to work in industries where we have labor shortages, and are more willing to move to where workers are needed
- A bigger workforce leads to a growing economy, which increases productivity, eases inflation, and raises real wages
- Immigrants boost innovation, which leads to improvements in living standards
- Immigrants paid $467 billion in taxes in 2019
