The Biden-Harris administration is working to lower healthcare and prescription drug prices for older and disabled Americans. The latest announcement gives Medicare the ability to negotiate the maximum price of ten life-saving prescription drugs. These drugs cost Americans $3.4 billion in out-of-pocket expenses last year, and cost the government $50 billion.
An overwhelming majority of voters support the decision to allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices. Not a single Republican voted in favor of it, choosing instead to side with Big Pharma.
