The unemployment rate for Black workers is at historic lows, but it is still higher than for white workers. As of January, the white unemployment rate was 3.4% while the Black unemployment rate was 5.3%. 

2023 saw the lowest Black unemployment rate of any year on record, and a decrease in the racial unemployment gap. However, we need to continue to push for policies that will further reduce the gap. Read more here.
