A reminder on Memorial Day that as President,
Biden: signed into law the PACT Act, the most significant expansion of benefits and healthcare for toxic-exposed veterans in more than 30 years. Since its inception there have been 1 million approved claims totaling $5.7 billion in benefits to veterans and their families. It should be noted that Senate Republicans tried to block this bill from passing several times, showing their willingness to use veterans as political pawns, but received significant pressure from advocates of the bill.
Trump: declined a visit to Aisne-Marne American Cemetery because he did not believe in honoring fallen troops, referring to them as “losers.” He also referred to marines who lost their lives as “suckers.”
