Today, more people have healthcare coverage than at any other point in our country’s history.
Under the Biden-Harris administration, outreach to minority communities has increased access to affordable healthcare. The $500 million investment in Navigators creates awareness about the Affordable Care Act and helps people across the country sign up for health care, with a focus on underserved communities.
Between 2010 and 2022 the uninsured rate for the following populations dropped:
- Black Americans: 20.9% to 10.8%
- Latinos: 32.7% to 18%
- Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI): 16.6% to 6.2%
- American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN): 32.4% to 19.9%
45 million people now have healthcare under the ACA. Donald Trump and Republican extremists have vowed to repeal it if Trump is elected in November.
