They (Elon Musk and his team) said that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would cut next fiscal year’s federal budget by $1 trillion. But now his cost-cutting goal is shrinking by 85%, a goal that analysts think may still be unattainable. Further, YTD government spending for 2025 far exceeds spending for each of the last 3 years.
